NHS has a parking lot located on the side of the building with two reserved spaces for clients with handicap. NHS office is wheel chair accessible. Clients with hearing impairment may call the New York City’s citizen 311 service. 311 is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week (for hearing-impaired clients, call 212-504-4115 via a touchtone device for the deaf TDD). NHS has bilingual and multilingual counselors to assist clients with language barriers. NHS also has a contract with a translation agency to provide translation services to clients speaking languages we do not have on staff.

NHS of Staten Island has developed an approach that creates opportunities to be financially motivated, secure, and mobile. Classroom instruction combined with One-on-One coaching will provide guidance, create accountability and the encouragement needed to achieve a secure financial future.

Partnership with the Office of Financial Empowerment.

Our partnership with the office of financial empowerment allows us to have a financial advisor on staff two days a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Call 718-442-8080 to set up an appointment with the financial advisor Mr. Chris Starr.
